Should have been here sometime yesterday

When she was young, wild, and untamed

Before the world ever knew her name

And everything changed

But I swear when the sun goes down 

I can still feel her there

I can still see her now

Lighting up with the stars coming out

No one around

I watched as  summer swarms descended

It was all I could do to try and defend it

But I knew this time had ended

Never to return

But I swear when the coast gets clear

I fall back again, to where we began

I lose sight of all of my plans

One last dance

Never could know her, still they claim her
